Controls Systems Apprentice
As a Controls Systems Apprentice at AVL, you will embark on an exciting journey to develop your engineering skills within a supportive and dynamic environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while pursuing formal training through a Level 6 Controls Systems apprenticeship.
We are seeking an apprentice with a proactive attitude, who is keen to learn and highly motivated to support and thrive in the area of Control Systems.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support powertrain control development, including requirements definition and development
• Support automotive network definition, integration and commissioning
• Support the software verification and validation in various test environments
• Create and maintain project documentation throughout the life cycle of the project
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, sales representatives and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
YOUR PROFILE:
Essential:
• A-level in:
o Mathematics (grade B or above)
o Another A level at grade C or above in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Design & Technology
o English (grade C or above)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset
• Eligibility to enroll in a Level 6 apprenticeship program
Preferable:
• Relevant Work Experience: Previous internships or work experience in a technology related role
• General automotive knowledge or electric powertrain components
