The Austrian-owned AVL is the world's largest independent group of companies engaged in the development, simulation and testing of hybrid, internal combustion and electric engines and drivetrains.

The Zalaegerszeg test track is unique, as the traditional test track functions focusing on drivability and driving stability are implemented together with the elements of the research and development infrastructure focusing on the vehicles of the future in the system that enables multi-level validation based on each other. The uniqueness of the test track is that it not only offers the opportunity to carry out traditional vehicle dynamics tests, but also enables validation tests of autonomous (self-driving) vehicles and electric vehicles.

We are looking for a new colleague in Zalaegerszeg, to expand the AVL-ZalaZONE team, for the following position:

Technician 

Place of work: Zalaegerszeg, Hungary

Your responsibilities:

• Carrying out technical/automotive assembly work on various components of test vehicles.

• Chassis alignment, wheel alignment, wheel balancing, brake force measurement, vehicle diagnostics, parts replacement on test vehicles.

• Installation of measuring systems in vehicles, design of installations.

• Maintenance of the test track fleet.

• Installation, operation and repair of test track traffic installations.

• Varied activities in an automotive environment.

Your profile:

• At least a secondary level of education in a specialised field (technical);
• At least 3 years of experience as a car mechanic,
• You have an intermediate level of English or German, both written and spoken;
• Hungarian is a must,
• Work experience in a similar field would be an advantage;
• You will have a proven track record of accuracy, reliability and excellent problem solving;
• You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others;
• You do not feel lost when working independently within a team;
