Kubernetes Cluster Administrator (DevOps)
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Kubernetes Administrator to manage and support our on-premises Kubernetes clusters. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Linux system administration, automation tools like Foreman and Ansible, and be proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or Shell).
You will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and scaling our Kubernetes-based infrastructure, supporting mission-critical applications, and automating operational workflows in a secure and resilient environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administer and maintain on-prem Kubernetes clusters, including installation, upgrades, patching, and monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Foreman, Ansible, and custom scripts.
• Troubleshoot system, container, and network-level issues across distributed environments.
• Implement and monitor security and access policies in line with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, security engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless CI/CD workflows.
• Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for Kubernetes clusters.
• Monitor performance and health of workloads, nodes, and clusters using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Maintain documentation and operational runbooks for infrastructure components and procedures.
YOUR PROFILE:
Must-Have:
• Proven hands-on experience managing on-premises Kubernetes environments (kubeadm, CRI-O, containerd, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) systems administration.
• Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
• Experience using Foreman for bare-metal provisioning and life-cycle management.
• Proficiency in Ansible for configuration automation and deployment.
• Solid scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
• Familiarity with storage and networking concepts in Kubernetes.
• Understanding of RBAC, secrets, taints, tolerations, and other Kubernetes primitives.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Helm, GitOps, or ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with container security best practices and tools.
• Experience integrating Kubernetes with identity providers (LDAP, Keycloak, etc.).
