Junior/Mid Application Engineer in IODP Product (f/m)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and enhance methodologies for integrating real-time simulations to address upcoming challenges in autonomy, electrification, and digitalization within the automotive industry.
• Deliver AVL’s standard and customer-specific solutions for simulation-related software and hardware in customer projects.
• Implement standardized AVL virtualization tools.
• Enable standardized solutions based on AVL’s Virtualization product portfolio (e.g., Testbed.CONNECT, ISAC, VSM, AVL Virtual Testbed, and other virtualization tools, software, and solutions).
• Conduct R&D activities leveraging knowledge gained from customer projects in the virtualization area.
• Build models and systems used in the development of next-generation vehicles.
• Analyze results and validate tools/models.
• Support the release process of AVL software tools, including examples, automated testing, documentation, and verification.
• Collaborate with other teams at AVL.
• Propose new ideas and solutions to problems.
YOUR PROFILE:
• Currently pursuing or holding a master’s degree in Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Telematics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic experience in automotive engineering, co-simulation, or simulation modeling (e.g., experience with Matlab Simulink, Amesim, CarMaker, or similar tools).
• Basic knowledge of Python and/or other scripting languages.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel.
• Familiarity with electronics, automotive bus systems, and related tools.
• A strong desire to learn and pursue self-development.
• Interest in working within a multidisciplinary team.
• A self-responsible, systematic, and structured approach to work.
• Strong analytical thinking, social skills, and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
