IT Engineer (m/f/d)

Focus Areas: Identity Lifecycle, Automation & Process Optimization
We are looking for an IAM Specialist to strengthen our Identity & Access Management team at AVL. In this role, you will modernize and automate core IAM processes, enhance our identity lifecycle systems, and collaborate with various teams to ensure secure and efficient access management across the company.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, data handling, and operational improvements
• Support role management activities including role modeling and role governance improvements
• Contribute to GUI design for IAM portals and tools, with a focus on usability and user-friendliness
• Work with Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) – Synchronization Engine & Portal – for configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement
• Handle service tickets and align with internal IT and business stakeholders
• Improve data quality to prepare identity data for future AI consumption
• Support process reengineering initiatives to standardize and automate IAM workflowsSupport internal business projects with IAM-related expertise

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed education or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable field
• Professional experience in Identity & Access Management or a related technical area
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills
• Interest or experience in role management, process optimization, and GUI improvements
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (Sync & Portal)
• Analytical mindset, quality awareness, and a structured, independent way of working
• Strong team collaboration skills
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written), German is an advantage
