Development Engineer Production

AVL is the largest supplier of measurement devices for automotive OEMs worldwide. We have started an Industrialization team in Zagreb which will collaborate with established R&D and Industrialization teams in Zagreb/Graz. We need your support in ensuring efficient, optimized and uninterrupted manufacturing of AVL’s line of products.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Ownership over technical problem-solving in manufacturing line (eg. root cause analysis or recurring assembly errors, interface between manufacturing and R&D staff, short term- / long term- measures, reporting)
•    Coordination of technical problem-solving of production/test/calibration equipment with internal stakeholders or external suppliers and partners (End of line test or calibration devices and methods)
•    Understand and manage data regarding equipment availability / efficiency (demand and available capacity per manufacturing process step incl. planned and unplanned downtimes)
•    Participation in selection and validation of reproducible and stable production process during the industrialization phase of new products.
•    Co-creation and updating of production line specification document (definition of assembly- and test-equipment per process step and detailed technical requirements for facility & infrastructure)
•    Coordination of equipment purchasing and implementation at production line (eg. third party test equipment for PCBAs ect)
•    Validation of production process during the pilot series production & continuous improvement 

YOUR PROFILE:

•    Bachelor / Master degree in Electrical, Mechanical, industrial eng or comparable degree
•    Experience in ERP software tools (SAP) is an advantage
•    Outgoing personality with good communication skills (teamwork is our core value)
•    Assertive communication style, solution-oriented approach, a keen interest in making stuff work
•    Initiative and commitment towards enabling manufacturing processes
•    Readiness for travel to manufacturing service supplier sites & HQ (up to 20% worktime annually)
•    Proficiency in English and Croatian, German skills are a bonus
•    Drivers license B category is advantageous
