Development Engineer Machine-Vibration in Precision Engineering (f/m)

The performance of high precision optical machines is strongly determined by the vibration behavior of their assembly groups evaluated by Vibro-acoustic models.

For the development of such systems, there is the need for reliable assessments of the vibration performance, using engineering-scientific methods which address the Transfer functions and excitations. Based on these findings, the system components and subsystems and couplings will be optimized.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Layout and optimization of high-precision systems regarding vibration requirements together with our customers and partners
• Usage of existing Vibro-Acoustic MATLAB-based models for system identification and description
• Support of the further development simulation methods for multi-physical systems
• Carrying our simulation tasks during product concept development and design review, model verification and validation
• An important part of the work is the creation and coordination of requirements in close contact with all relevant groups within AVL and Customer and the presentation of results
   

YOUR PROFILE:

• You have a degree in mechanical engineering or physics or a comparable scientific or engineering education
• Ideally, you have in-depth knowledge in one of the following areas: Vibroacoustic, vibration in fluid-structure interactions, control engineering and NVH; Fundamental understanding is required
• Familiar with measurement methods, like transfer function measurement, hammer test, shaker test is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of system identification and signal processing is an advantage
• Experience with MATLAB and common Finite Element tools is advantageous
• You are characterized by a high degree of independence and own initiative as well as strong organizational skills
• Good communication skills, fluent in English
• Communication skill in German is advantageous
