DevOps Engineer (f/m)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a DevOps Engineer within our Central IT DevOps Team, you'll be at the forefront of orchestrating seamless integration, deployment, and management of our cloud and on-prem infrastructure. Leverage your extensive operational experience to significantly impact the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cloud Infrastructure Automation: Designing and implementing automation frameworks to streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, ensuring scalability and reliability using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment: Developing and enhancing CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Implementing monitoring solutions to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure high availability of AVL cloud platform.
• Security and Compliance: Collaborating with security teams to embed security best practices into development and deployment pipelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating effective cross-functional collaboration between development, operations, and stakeholders to foster a culture of shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
• Incident Response and Recovery: Participating in incident management, aiding in quick resolution, and establishing robust recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
• Strategic Planning and Innovation: Contributing to the strategic roadmap by evaluating emerging technologies and proposing innovative solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Experience in cloud technologies and platforms (Azure preferred)
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Terragrunt, Azure Bicep, Pulumi) and Configuration Management experience (Ansible)
• Previous experience with CI/CD tools/pipelines and code management systems (GitHub, Azure DevOps (TFS), Gitlab)
• Experience in containerization and orchestration of containerized services (Kubernetes)
• Experience in Linux and scripting languages (particularly Bash and PowerShell)
• Strong understanding of monitoring tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Loki, Grafana).
• Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team.
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English, German skills beneficial
• Willingness to occasionally travel to our HQ in Graz, Austria
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and proactive contribution
