With the world moving towards E-Mobility new R&D topics arise and with them, new opportunities. Therefore, we are further expanding our Expert-Team of world-wide operating Application Engineers towards electrification testing and calibration.
We as part of the Headquarter organisation of AVL List GmbH in Graz take a leading role in consulting and supporting worldwide our customers as well as our own Affiliates worldwide when it comes to new methodology for automation, calibration, simulation and data analytics.
Your role will consist of developing our technical expertise and network towards E-Drives (Inverter & E-Motor) Battery and Fuel Cell application. You will have the responsibility to foster our knowledge-network and develop new methodologies with AVL’s product and engineering teams. Following the development of applications, you will play a key role to bring new approaches to our customers, providing the chance to travel the world and tackle thrilling challenges.
The core principle will be on smart approaches to handle development tasks, where an engineering mind and quick technical comprehension is key. Deep technical insight into specific sub-topics (e.g. Battery chemistry) is nice to have, but not a must for the tasks at hand.





  • Application development for use cases in the world of electrification
  • Manage and expand a global expert network
  • Setup of models with AVL Software and 3rd Party Software like Simulink™, incl. programming
  • Support of the Sales Phase and taking a leading role for the project execution
  • Includes worldwide travel activities (up to 40%)




  • University degree in electrical- / control- / computational- / mechanical-engineering or comparable working experience
  • Good knowledge in Matlab / Simulink
  • Good knowledge in an object-oriented language (e.g. Python)
  • Basic knowledge in Control Technology
  • Prior knowledge of Testbed Automation Software such as AVL PUMA/LYNX is advantageous
  • High competence to communicate and working in a team
  • Fluent written and spoken English (e.g. C1 Level)
  • German on e.g. B1 Level or better
  • Openness to other cultures / willingness to travel worldwide
