Junior Sales Engineer - (m/w/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Drive the preparation of commercial offers and quotations for engineering services in the automotive sector (Battery Systems / SW & HW / Fuel Cells / Test Services / Software Tools)
- Take ownership of the full sales process – from identifying potential customers and qualifying leads to preparing offers, coordinating internal inputs, and following up until contract handover to project execution
- Actively support business growth in Poland by identifying new customers, markets, and opportunities
- Development and continuous improvement of company service portfolios and sales materials
- Responsibility for running processes, maintaining internal systems updated
- Support in business modelling and preparation of business plans for new areas and markets
- Collaborate closely with local and international AVL teams to align customer projects, pricing strategies, and delivery timelines
- Participation in promotional and business development activities (events, fairs, conferences, meetups)
- Responsibility for independently managing assigned sales and administrative tasks while contributing to team goals
Your profile:
- University degree (preferably in Electrical Engineering, Automotive, Electronics, Mechatronics, Power Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related area - ideally in the automotive or engineering sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, both within the local team and across international AVL affiliates and with customers
- High level of motivation, resilience, and a proactive “growth” attitude - you enjoy challenges and taking initiative
- Very good command of English and Polish (both written and spoken); German will be an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with SalesForce, Jira will be a plus
