AVL Iberica offers a job in Spain (ES) as

Hybrid Powertrain Calibration Engineer | Testing, Validation & Calibration Projects

 

📍 Valladolid, Spain

At AVL Iberica, we continue to expand our Calibration team and are looking for engineers who want to contribute to the development and validation of hybrid powertrain systems.

We offer several opportunities within our growing workgroup, covering different areas of calibration, validation and powertrain development.

Areas where you can contribute

Depending on your experience and interests, you may be involved in:

System Validation

  • Execution of validation plans to verify the correct behavior of powertrain components under failure conditions.

Powertrain Debug

  • Support production, end-of-line, dealerships and calibration teams to ensure prototype and customer vehicles remain fully operational.

Calibration Data Management

  • Assembly, validation and industrialization of calibrations related to powertrain components.

Engine & Vehicle Calibration

  • Planning and performing tests in engine test benches and vehicles focused on:
    • Base engine calibration
    • Emissions
    • Diagnostics
    • Driveability

Calibration Leadership

  • Working alongside junior and senior calibration engineers to coordinate activities and ensure successful calibration development.

 

Current Project Environment

  • Mainly gasoline hybrid platforms.
  • Calibration of internal combustion engines and high-voltage components.
  

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

YOUR PROFILE:

 

Education

  • Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar degree.
  • Master's degree in automotive-related subjects is desirable.

Technical Background

  • Understanding of internal combustion engines and power electronics.
  • Experience with:
    • ETAS INCA
    • AVL Concerto
    • AVL Creta
    • Vector CANalyzer
    • DDT2000
    • Matlab/Simulink or similar tools

Languages

  • English and Spanish required.
  • French is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Driving Licence B required.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous calibration experience.
  • Experience in hybrid systems is preferred.
