Fluids&HVA engineer internship for testbed facilities 

AVL, a leading company in testing services for the automotive industry, offers a internship position as a process engineer to design and specify fluid and ventilation systems and coordinate their manufacture with suppliers in the sector within the framework of innovative turnkey projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  To contribute to:

• Analysis of specifications
• Design of systems through the elaboration of P&ID process diagrams.
• Sizing and selection of components for the preparation of bills of materials.
• Sizing of the installation from theoretical calculations.
• Coordination of the electrical and mechanical departments for the preparation of manufacturing plans.
• Preparation of technical specifications for the contracting of suppliers following quality standards.
• Visit to customer and supplier facilities
• Project monitoring
• Reporting

YOUR PROFILE:

• Good knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Good knowledge in hydraulic machines and ventilation and air treatment machines.
• Sizing of pumps, valves and heat exchangers.
• Basic knowledge of automobile mechanics.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, proactive in the search for solutions and capacity for innovation.
• Communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Visual Basic programming) and CAD, also valuing knowledge in CFD simulation and MATLAB.
• English (minimum B2 level)
• Spanish (minimum B2 level)
• Desirable German language skills
