AVL, a leading company in testing services for the automotive industry, offers a position as System Designer Electrics.

The SD-E is responsible during all project phases for the Electrical Engineering of Test Bed Systems. Based on the ITS Engineering Process the System Designer Electrics performs lean, state of the art and cost efficient engineering for switch gears and electrical installations considering current directives/international standards, latest internal standards, technologies and interfaces as well as customer standards and requirements.

  

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

To contribute to:

  • Analysis of specifications
  • Design of systems through electricity CAD
  • Sizing and selection of components for the preparation of bills of materials.
  • Sizing of the installation from theoretical calculations.
  • PLC and SCADA program development.
  • Coordination of the fluids and mechanical departments for the preparation of manufacturing plans.
  • Preparation of technical specifications for the contracting of suppliers following quality standards.
  • Visit to customer and supplier facilities
  • Project monitoring
  • Reporting

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

  • Good knowledge of electricity and automation.
  • Good knowledge in electricity standards and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge in safety regulations.
  • Basic knowledge in electricity CAD (Eplan), and automata programming (Siemens TIA Portal)
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, proactive in the search for solutions and capacity for innovation.
  • Communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Visual Basic programming and CAD, also valuing knowledge in simulation and MATLAB and any electrical simulation/calculation software.
  • English (minimum B2 level).
  • German laguage desirable
  • Spanish (minimum B2 level).
