Data Analyst / Data Scientist Intern

AVL is looking for a motivated Data Scientist Intern to join our team in Valencia.

The successful candidate will support the analysis and interpretation of large datasets generated during vehicle development and validation activities. Working closely with experienced data scientists and engineers, the intern will contribute to the development of big data solutions, the identification of trends and anomalies, and the preparation of meaningful reports and visualizations.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in data analytics and data science within the automotive industry while working in an international and innovative environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the development and maintenance of big data tools using Python.
• Process, clean and organize datasets generated during testing and validation activities by means of ETL, ELT or similar
• Assist in performing statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, correlations and anomalies.
• Support the development of data visualizations, dashboards and technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and data specialists to understand technical requirements and interpret analysis results.
• Contribute to the automation of repetitive data-processing and reporting tasks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing and validation processes through data-driven insights.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Currently studying a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Possibility of signing an internship agreement with a university or educational institution.
• Basic/Intermediate programming skills in Python.
• Basic knowledge of data-processing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy or similar tools.
• Interest in statistical analysis, data modeling, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Experience with data visualization tools or libraries such as Power BI, Matplotlib, Plotly or similar tools is considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Git or cloud-based data environments is considered an advantage.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and motivation to develop professionally in the field of data analytics and data science.
