Sales Engineer
The role of a Sales Engineer (SE) is to support the Business Unit sales activities within the Korean market. They should support the sales team to provide appropriate and high-quality customer support and should be directly involved in the acquisition of project opportunities.
Strategic Goals:
- Explore future Market/Customer Needs and provide input for Business Field / Product Strategy
- Representative of AVL at customers
- Market Planning/Forecasting
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the sales & pre-sales process and represents AVL’s corporate identity in the market
- Support Account Development of existing and new customers to bring sustainable business
- Strives for customer satisfaction (customer’s advocate) and sets realistic customer expectations
- Maintaining CRM System, data completeness and quality in SFDC and associated systems (accounts, contacts, opportunities)
- Support generation of new Opportunities and develop identified Opportunities:
- support project planning tasks (Quote preparation, cost calculation, clarification with technical departments and project management team)
- Set price within given margin boundaries and/or align with management
- Support presentation of quotes and management of customer feedback and offer revision
- Support negotiation of technical and commercial conditions
- Support Project Execution including professional handover to the project team, invoicing and payment collection and determining customer satisfaction. By accompanying the project during the order fulfilment process the SE should identify and realize additional business opportunities from the project
- Prepare customer communication in the form of meetings, customer contact reports, presentations, proposals
YOUR PROFILE:
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical subject
- Over 5 years experience in Technical or Commercial function
- Interest and enthusiasm for business development in mobility industry
- Self-starter with proven business management skills
- High awareness and understanding of the Korean market
- Excellent communication and intercultural skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel
- Driving license
Preferred Requirements:
- Master in Engineering or Technical subject
- Technical experience in Calibration and Validation, or Thermal Management topics
- Experience within the Automotive or Mobility industry
- Awareness of AVL's products and services
- Experience with proposal preparation, pricing defition and presentation to customers
