Key Account Manager

 

The function of a KAM should be established at the affiliate organizations, where significant business volume is given or can be achieved. The KAM, as AVL representative in the market being a competent partner, is responsible for customer development and sales acquisition for their responsible account(s) and or product / service.
The KAM maximizes the order intake with healthy corporate contribution (CC). They are maximizing AVL’s market share with optimum margin in accordance with strategic direction.
Strategic Goals:

  • Explore future Market/Customer Needs and provide input for Business Field / Product Strategy
  • Representative of AVL at customers
  • Market Planning/Forecasting
   

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Leads the sales process and represents AVL’s corporate identity in the market
  • Account Development for existing and new customers by understanding buying centers, mapping customers organization relevant for AVL business and generating strategic sales plans for market / customer
  • Drives the pre-sales process (sales process stages “changes over time”, “recognition of needs”)
  • Actively promotes AVL technology to their account and ensures accounts representatives join AVL Promotion/Marketing events
  • Strives for customer satisfaction (customer’s advocate) and sets realistic customer expectations
  • Maintaining CRM System, data completeness and quality in SFDC and associated systems (accounts, contacts, opportunities)
  • Support Project Execution including professional handover to the project team, invoicing and payment collection and determining customer satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with other affiliate teams using tools like Sales Force and monitor Budgets for Technical Project Planning
  • Prepare customer communication in the form of meetings, customer contact reports, presentations, proposals
  • Creates regular reports for their accounts, incl. analysis accounts annual reports
  • Meet planned order intake and margins (CC)
  • Provide account related market information for the sales forecast to the Sales Team Leader/Sales Director
 

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical subject
  • Over 10 years experience in Technical or Commercial function
  • Interest and enthusiasm for business development in mobility industry
  • Self-starter with proven business management skills
  • High awareness and understanding of the Korean market
  • Excellent communication and intercultural skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Driving license 

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Master in Engineering or Technical subject
  • Technical experience in Calibration and Validation, or Thermal Management topics
  • Experience within the Automotive or Mobility industry
  • Awareness of AVL's products and services
  • Experience with proposal preparation, pricing defition and presentation to customers
