Electrical Engineer - Naval & Defence

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and integrate electrical and control system architectures for naval and defence applications.
• Design and analyse power distribution, energy management and control systems.
• Develop, implement and validate control strategies for propulsion, power generation and auxiliary systems.
• Support system integration, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyse system and test results, identify root causes and define corrective actions.
• Work with PLC, automation, monitoring and communication systems in demanding operational environments.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering documentation, control logic descriptions and test procedures.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and technologies.

YOUR PROFILE:

Necessary:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in electrical engineering and/or control systems environments.
• Experience or strong interest in naval, marine or defence-related applications.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, automation architectures and control systems.
• Experience in system integration, testing and commissioning activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Valuable:

• Experience with PLC/SCADA platforms and industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of communication protocols and electrical simulation tools.
• Experience working within naval, marine or defence programmes.
• Knowledge of military or naval standards and requirements management processes.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects and international environments.
