Plant Quality Engineer

As a Senior Plant Quality Engineer, you will lead key quality initiatives within the plant, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer expectations. You will serve as a quality expert, driving continuous improvement across product, process, and supplier performance, and contributing to strategic decision-making in cross-functional teams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the daily analysis of field issues (warranty claims, market incident reports).

• Act as the primary quality interface with the dealer network and aftersales teams.

• Supervise new vehicle yard sampling and dynamic testing programs.

• Analyze feedback from plant employees regarding defects and scrap rates.

• Lead and validate corrective action plans from suppliers and internal production teams.

• Coordinate complex supplier escalations with the SQD (Supplier Quality Development) team.

• Facilitate and challenge product design teams on quality improvement plans.

• Supervise assembly shop quality systems, including visual, dimensional, electrical, and mechanical controls.

• Ensure robust PPAP validation at the end of product development phases.

• Oversee the monitoring of serial life changes through industrial testing and milestone reviews.

• Lead risk analysis and mitigation planning for critical workstations and production lines.

• Drive immediate containment and protective actions in response to critical issues.

• Manage cross-functional teams during crisis resolution phases.

• Supervise incoming inspection and quality gate audits.

• Ensure 100% vehicle checks when required and monitor implementation effectiveness.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Quality, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a plant quality, manufacturing, or automotive role.

• Strong knowledge of quality tools and standards (8D, FMEA, PPAP, ISO/TS 16949, etc.).

• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and problem-solving methodologies.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
