Senior Embedded Software Engineer - AUTOSAR, CAN/UDS & Diagnostics

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the development, configuration, and integration of the Basic Software (BSW) for automotive ECUs within an AUTOSAR Classic environment.

• Participate in the configuration and integration of AUTOSAR BSW modules, particularly components related to communication, diagnostics, and ECU system management.

• Participate in the configuration and integration of in-vehicle communications, including CAN/CAN-FD, as well as the implementation of UDS protocols and, depending on project requirements, XCP.

• Contribute to the configuration and integration of diagnostic functions, particularly DCM and DEM, and participate in the analysis of communication and diagnostic issues.

• Participate in integration activities involving the microcontroller and low-level software layers, in collaboration with the hardware and MCAL teams.

• Perform software configuration, generation, integration, and verification activities using project tools, including DaVinci, CANape, and related development tools.

• Participate in BSW testing and validation activities, including unit and integration testing, and analyze results to identify and resolve defects.

• Participate in target-based software debugging and contribute to the analysis of technical issues encountered during integration and validation phases.

• Use requirements and configuration management tools, particularly Polarion and Git, to ensure traceability of requirements, changes, and deliverables.

• Participate in the integration and delivery of different software versions in compliance with project processes, standards, and constraints.

• Ensure proper documentation of development, configuration, testing, and problem-solving activities.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Embedded Systems, Industrial Computing, Electronics, Electromechanics, or a related field.

• Initial experience in embedded software development and/or testing, ideally within the automotive industry.

• Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic concepts and architecture, with a particular interest in the BSW layer.

• Good knowledge of C programming and embedded software development for microcontrollers.

• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, particularly CAN/CAN-FD and UDS.

• Knowledge of AUTOSAR communication and diagnostic stacks, particularly COM, DCM, and DEM.

• Initial experience with AUTOSAR configuration and development tools, particularly DaVinci, is a plus.

• Knowledge of embedded software testing, integration, and debugging activities.

• Knowledge of XCP, CANape, MCAL, Git, or Polarion is an advantage.

• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or ASPICE is a plus.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and technical problem-solving skills.

• Proactive mindset, autonomy, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively within a team in an international project environment.

• Fluent communication skills in both French and English.
