Data Analyst & SW Developer

 

  

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Platform Administration & Governance

  • Support the administration of Databricks environments (DEV, TEST, PROD).
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions.
  • Support identity provisioning through Azure AD and AWS IAM.
  • Collaborate with cloud teams on connectivity, storage access, and security-related topics.

Workspace Operations & Support

  • Manage access to notebooks, jobs, clusters, and SQL Warehouses.
  • Support cluster configuration and enforce usage policies.
  • Troubleshoot platform-related issues and coordinate with support teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain operational documentation and internal guidelines.

Data Governance & Security

  • Support Unity Catalog governance, including catalogs, schemas, and tables.
  • Manage access controls and data ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with platform security standards and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to data governance and compliance initiatives.

DevOps & Automation

  • Support CI/CD processes for Databricks deployments.
  • Participate in automation initiatives using Git-based workflows.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard templates and deployment practices.
  • Support application and platform lifecycle management across environments.

Cost & Usage Management

  • Monitor platform usage and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support cost tracking, reporting, and analysis activities.
  • Contribute to tagging strategies and governance practices for accurate cost allocation and attribution.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

Education

  • Master’s Degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Data Platform Engineer.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms or in DevOps environments is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Databricks administration, including workspace management, access management, cluster administration, and Unity Catalog.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services (preferred) or other cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts; experience with Terraform is a plus.
  • Basic scripting skills in Python and/or Bash are an advantage.

Certifications (Nice to Have)

  • Databricks certifications, such as:
    • Databricks Certified Data Engineer
    • Databricks Platform Administrator
  • Cloud certifications, such as:
    • Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate
    • AWS Solutions Architect
    • Equivalent cloud certifications

Languages & Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a structured and results-oriented approach to work.

Technical Profile

  • Databricks Expertise: Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog, Account Console, and Workspace Administration.
  • IaC & Automation: Strong proficiency in Terraform; experience with Databricks CLI, Databricks Asset Bundles, and REST APIs.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Solid understanding of Azure (preferred) or AWS/GCP networking, security, and access management.
  • CI/CD Tooling: Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for platform automation and operational efficiency.
