Working Student/Intern/Thesis: Hardware based Cybersecurity Training (m/f/d)

  

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

We are a dynamic and innovative cyber security team committed to increase the security within the automotive industry. To do so, our Mission in the Automotive Cybersecurity Department is about advancing cybersecurity knowledge and empowering the next generation of professionals. As of now, our training sessions are conducted with our virtual cybersecurity lab. To meet different attack surfaces we are launching a new training program that closes the gap between physical and virtualized hardware. You will play a major role in developing and designing our hardware-based cybersecurity training. Currently we are seeking a proactive and independent student to join our enthusiastic team. 
 

  • Research and identify suitable training techniques
  • Evaluate which types of attack will be part of the training
  • Conclude which Hardware is needed (µC, digital multimeters, debuggers)
  • Search for possible open-source solutions
  • Develop, assemble, and test the PCB
  • Create a documentation and training materials
     

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

  • Enrolled student in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or similar
  • Familiarity with C programming and µC
  • Knowledge within PCB design. KiCad is a plus
  • Good communication skills to present the results to the team
  • Interest in open-source software is a plus​​​
  • Personality is more than anything else!
