Expert Safety Engineer E-Mobility/BMS (m/f/d)

In this area we will strengthen and enlarge our portfolio in regards to Battery Management System in the Scope of Functional Safety Development. In this context we are hiring an Expert Development Engineer with project management skills and ISO26262 background as a permanent appointment in a familiar, professional and well-established team. E-Mobility Background is not a real must in your curriculum vitae. It is also possible to apply for this position as an expert in the regards to other areas from the automotive powertrain with ambition to rise to a new challenge and draw from own experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing the development of our battery management systems for automotive and industrial applications in internal and customer projects with the focus on functional safety according to the standards ISO26262 and IEC61508
• Close cooperation with other departments such as electronics development, basic software and BMS system/ controls
• Serving our customers, identifying, and coordinating the requirements and changes in our safety system
• Creation of Safety Concepts & Architectures
• Coordination of the development of the safety application software and creation of solutions in our MatLab Simulink based development environment
• Testing and calibration of our solutions on HIL, battery test benches and in the vehicle
• Technical support in the acquisition for functional safety projects in BMS area
• Together with our team you will ensure the highest quality and cutting-edge technology for our global customers

YOUR PROFILE:

• Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering, Electrotechnics or Physics TU/FH
• Experiences in the area of safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262) and related methods, e.g.  risk analysis, functional and technical safety concepts are recommended
• Enthusiasm for electric mobility and the will to bring new solutions to the market with us
• Battery management knowhow is an advantageous but not a must!
• Good communication- and team skills (peripheral team structure)
• Profound analytical and conception skills
• German, English
• Ability for travel
• first work experience preferable
• Personality matters more than anything else!
