The AVL TSI team is currently hiring an intern to grow within our operations area in Plymouth, MI.
This internship will report to our Director, Operations and support our applications and service area. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with a background in mechanical engineering, specifically one with python skills, to growth their engineering skills. This summer internship will support a variety of projects onsite in Plymouth, MI, including data analysis for multiple areas and lab support. Qualified candidates for the internship role will be working towards a bachelors degree with a minimum of 1 year towards that degree. The internship length is confirmed for summer with potential to extend. The internship position is paid hourly and is not eligible for benefits.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.
ROLES:
- Embrace duties and assignments as determined by their department manager or the individual assigned to directly supervise them.
- Execute responsibilities as assigned, in an efficient and timely manner.
- Use skills that they learned in school to implement and assist on projects that relate to the department’s objectives.
- Safely perform tasks with quality as assigned by supervisor.
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Desire to learn
- Working towards engineering degree; preferably electrical
- High School Diploma is required
- Proactive ability
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn processes and functions of the department they are assigned too; these skills are used at the end of the term for more efficient project implementation
