Director, Advanced Simulation Technologies

AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc. (MTI) in North America is hiring a Director for the Advanced Simulation Technologies (AST) area.  This position is responsible for sales and support of AVL AST software products and customer projects in North America.  Qualified candidates for this opportunity are required to possess 10+ years experience in software sales and preferably 5+ years experience in sales management.  The Director, will oversee the entire AST team for North America and engage with global AST leadership.  AVL is looking for a driven, proactive individual looking for an opportunity in a dynamic company.

ROLES:

• Develop the strategy for AST growth and value creation in North America
• Create business plans for AST in North America
• Contribute to MTI business planning and execution as part of the MTI leadership team
• Maintain accurate business forecast for software license sales and AST customer projects
• Maintain budgets in alignment with the annual business plan for the department
• Conduct monthly business reviews with Graz leadership and track target vs. achieved performance for software and customer project sales
• Hire and train sales and support staff
• Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports
• Collect and communicate market needs to AST Graz leadership
• Ensure effective and efficient use and maintenance of the AVL customer relationship management tools for both sales and support
• Cultivate executive level relationships at key and global accounts
• Work with AST and MTI sales leadership to coordinate the sales approach for all AVL accounts
• Participate in AST global sales management meetings
• Coordinate with MTI technical leadership to jointly promote AVL capabilities in key opportunities
• Full responsibility for P&L

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
• Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software sales
• 5+ years of experience in sales management
