Application Engineer

Application Engineer for AVL Test Systems, Inc.  Position duties are providing technical engineering & customer liaison support services for engine & vehicle research and certification test automation systems integration, development, commissioning & troubleshooting of emission & energy calculation measurement modules for engine testbeds & powertrain systems in multi-configuration test cells that comply with U.S., European and Chinese emissions regulations including designing & implementing custom tests; commissioning test cells; implementing & tuning control loops; integrating auxiliary equipment into test systems; creating commissioning documentation; conducting test bed data acquisition automation software review of test cycles & screens for test systems; troubleshooting test & measurements systems; providing training on system applications; and implementing applications using ASAM ODS compliant databases to design & implement calculations for emissions & energy protocols.
