Accounting Coordinator

AVL North America's finance department in Plymouth, MI is searching for an Accounting Coordinator to join our team.  AVL is looking for motivated candidates seeking valuable experience and growth opportunities in Accounting while contributing to a productive team environment.  Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, critical thinkers and possess excellent time-management skills.  SAP experience/knowledge is beneficial but not required.    

This opportunity will work a hybrid schedule with some work on-site in Plymouth and the rest completed remote.  This is a full-time position with eligiblity for medical benefits & 401K company contribution.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree OR 2+ years accounting experience required
• Ability to analyze and present information
• Flexibility

Must have skills in:

• Excel
• Word
• PowerPoint
• Understanding of ERP systems
• SAP experience preferred, but not required.

Roles:

• Intercompany invoicing (All affiliates, US & Non-US). Print and disburse intercompany invoices to the appropriate areas for processing.
• Create customer invoices from data populated in our Customer SharePoint site by the customer service reps.  After invoices are created, send invoices to the customers via e-mail.
• Monthly affiliate reconciliation.  Work with AP and AR to resolve any month end discrepancies.  Will develop a close working relationship with our international affiliates.
• Monthly reconcile and clearing of the credit card clearing account (90010), all companies.  Matching and clearing of expenses (Concur) and charges on the company credit card.
• Run reports in Concur to identify outstanding expenses.  E-mail individuals that have not submitted expenses per the guidelines noted in the AVL Travel policy. 
• Monthly reconciliation of the employee payable accounts (35900), all companies. Follow up with employees that have a payable balance due to AVL.
• Weekly cash projection.  Run AR reports to determine how much is owed to AVL and when it is due. Visit customer websites to see when payments are scheduled to be made. Update template with data for management to review.
• Daily cash reporting.  Run reports from banking website to populate template to determine available funds for the day and upcoming payments.
• AP invoice processing (US).  Assist with the processing of invoices for AVL North America.
• Run monthly recurring invoices.  Print supporting invoices as needed. Print list of monthly invoices for vendors set up as paperless/autodraft.  
• Basic journal entries, as assigned.
• Other duties, as assigned.
