Automotive / Calibration Engineer 

As part of our expanding team, you will play a crucial role in the research and development of powertrain control units. Your primary focus will be on the calibration of various powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and hybrid systems. This involves base calibration functions such as air path, torque model, controller model, knock and pre-ignition control, as well as emission, diagnostic, and cold start functions.

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating calibration functions in powertrain test facilities (Test Bed, Chassis Rolls, powertrain testbeds, VTB, etc.) and vehicle development. Additionally, you will facilitate internal communication for the planning and organization of calibration tasks, ensuring seamless collaboration within the team.

Your role will also include customer communication, providing project overviews, analysis, and results to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out road tests in accordance with the customer's standards.
Performing corrective, preventive and verification maintenance (calibrations, linearization) on PEMS devices.
Ensure the installation, maintenance and support of PEMS devices.
Contributes to achieving maximum customer satisfaction and maintaining a good collaboration with them and colleagues
Cooperation with AVL interfaces (for example: hotline, superior, team leader, sales, administration)
Performs/supports in the preparation of use and service documentation (procedures, service reports and calibration certificates), if necessary
Acquisition of new knowledge
Works carried out mainly in Titu, with occasional travels abroad.
 

YOUR PROFILE:

Driving license with good driving skills. 
Bachelor/Master degree in one of the relevant fields, thermal-mechanical engineering/ fluid dynamics / automotive engineering
Previous experience in system engineering development
Good knowledge of the automotive sector
Have a creative and open mind 
Have strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade other participants
Have a strong team player mindset 
Good written and spoken English
