Automotive Engineer 

As part of our growing structure, you will be an integral part of the AVL research and development team. Your main research topic will be focused on test then analysis of catalysts systems used on diesel and gasoline internal combustion engine. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex technical issues and offer recommendations with the objective of improving the global efficiency of exhaust after-treatment systems.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning and analysis of catalysis tests made on synthetic gas tests-benches, engine tests-benches or vehicles on the client’s site or in supplier’s site.
• Lead technical exchanges with catalysts suppliers.
• Capable of providing critical thinking and analysis of results provided by suppliers.
• Optimizing catalysis tests methodologies.
• Managing different technological devices: TWC, GPFc, DOC, SCR, soot filtration.
• MEB, FLX, DRX measurement interpretation.
• Final report writing about characteristics of new parts technology.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in one of the relevant fields, automotive / transportation engineering.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and chemical concepts.
• Strong knowledge of pollutants and particulate formation and of the different concepts of treatment.
• Previous experience on automotive tests perimeters.
• Have an analytical and critical thinking mindset.
• Strong team player.
• Good written and spoken English, knowledge of French language would be a plus.
