Vehicle Powertrain Calibration Engineer

Joining the AVL team in México, you will be responsible to carry out vehicle powertrain calibration activities in engine test bed and vehicle test benches.

Location: Puebla, México

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To solve any ECU (Engine Control Unit) related issues during engine test bed testing of internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains.
• To adapt calibration data to fulfil emissions limits, drivability concerns, fuel consumption targets, performance targets, etc...
• To steer development and implementation of improvement measures to avoid ECU (Engine Control Unit) related issues and more generally to improve KPIs for engine or hybrid system operation.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Degree in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or comparable studies
• Genuine interest and knowledge in internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains
• Knowledge in automotive electronics is desirable
• Knowledge of automotive communication systems (CAN, etc…) is desirable
• Ability to investigate root cause of issues, analyze data and formally present and report testing results.
• High level of coordination, communication and team skills
• Good knowledge of English
• German desirable, but not compulsory
