Powertrain Test Engineer - Engine Dyno

The position will initially be based in Kocaeli. Candidates are expected to be willing to relocate to Istanbul after the completion of the project phase.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- For a better future and for the sake of our nature, support the development, validation, and testing of advanced powertrain systems through high-quality engine dynamometer testing.
- As a Powertrain Test Engineer, you will take an active role in operating and supervising engine dynamometer test activities. You will be responsible for the technical coordination of multiple test rooms, supporting technicians, and ensuring reliable operation of test beds, measurement systems, and data acquisition tools.
- You will work closely with engineering, calibration, and test automation teams to ensure test readiness, data quality, and continuous improvement of test processes.
Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Plan, execute, and monitor engine dynamometer test activities according to defined test plans
Take responsibility for the daily operation of multiple engine test rooms
Coordinate and technically support test technicians and shift activities
Operate and supervise engine testing using AVL PUMA test bed automation systems
Ensure correct setup, operation, and maintenance of AVL dynamometers and measurement equipment
Follow up and resolve test bed hardware and software issues (dyno, automation, instrumentation, DAQ)
YOUR PROFILE:
- BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in engine dynamometer test operation and test cell workflows
- Solid understanding of internal combustion engine systems (air path, fuel system, combustion, cooling, lubrication, exhaust)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, instrumentation, and software issues
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a test environment
- Fluent spoken and written English
And a good understanding of at least some of the following topics:
- Experience with emissions, performance, durability, or calibration-support testing
- Experience with AVL PUMA test automation
- Experience coordinating multiple test rooms or shifts
