Mechanical Design Engineer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Concept design, project planning and system engineering of mechanical components for Testbed Systems

• Responsible for the overall mechanical test bed system to fulfil customer requirements from the acquisition phase to final acceptance of the system.

• Preparation of technical drawings / documentations considering the standards in force

• Preparation of quotations for non-standardized mechanical systems

• Technical supplier development in cooperation with Purchasing and Product Management

• Acts as liaison and contact for all mechanical issues of projects

YOUR PROFILE:

• Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering graduate

• Solid basic engineering and theoretical knowledge

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally in the engine or powertrain area

• Expert level 3D-CAD knowledge, preferably SolidWorks

• Experienced in manufacturing methods such as machining, welding, sheet metal

• Strong knowledge of GT&D

• Mechanical design and layout of products and devices using 3D/2D design tools, tolerance calculation, simulation, etc.

• Excellent spoken and written command of English

• Communication and teamwork

• Readiness to travel
