Lead Software Engineer

Your Responsibilities:

• Developing new features for AVL RaceTech Toolchain, our self-developed (partly web based platform) tools that manage and analyze vehicle simulations
• Reviewing code and providing constructive feedback about the team’s contributions to the codebase(s)
• Ensuring the reliability of the application everywhere that it’s deployed
• Maintaining our web app (frontend/backend/database) through all stages of the product cycle
• Communicating with other teams to improve company effectiveness
• Investigating and understanding user needs to optimize the user experience
• Mentoring junior developers in less technical areas of software development: design principles and patterns, communication, architectures, etc.

You have:

• Completed studies in a computing-adjacent field and/or sufficient experience in a related industry
• At least 5 years of experience working with web technologies, preferably in an agile(-ish) workflow
• An understanding that documentation, testing, and a focus on usability are as important as the code itself
• Professional experience with our primary web stack: C#, .Net, .Net Core, Entity Framework, Angular, PostgreSQL, Cloud applications
• Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, WebGL (ThreeJS), GitLab CI, C++, WPF
• Excellent/Good English skills
