Engine Control Systems Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engine Control Systems Engineers develop and implement state of the art engine controls algorithms and functions for upcoming vehicles for both conventional and hybrid powertrains based on legislation, standards and customer requirements as well as technology trends and market demand.
Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Requirements engineering/management at system and/or component level
- Algorithm/SW development in Matlab/Simulink environment
- Commissioning developed SW on vehicle
- Systematic in-vehicle execution of automotive software tests
- Analysis of measurements and test results
- Preparation of reports/presentations
- Development of solution concepts
- Troubleshooting and fault elimination
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Control / Electrical / Electronics Engineering, and preferably Master’s and/or PhD qualifications
- In depth knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Minimum 3 years of experience of engine control systems [diesel or gasoline] and software development
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
- Fast learner, treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop
- Good communication, presentation and planning skills
- Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
And a good understanding of at least two of the following topics:
- Diesel/gasoline engine/aftertreatment systems and controls
- Measurement systems and sensors
- Vehicle electronic systems
- Automotive Powertrains (Engine, Transmissions, Batteries, Electric Machines and Power Electronics)
- Hybrid vehicles
- INCA, CANape, CANalyzer etc.
