Electrical Systems Design Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for physical design of LV and/or HV electrical systems
- Prepares geometric 2D/3D models of wiring harness in line with design requirements
- Aligns with other engineering disciplines (simulation, test and manufacturing)
- Plans and formulates his/her own workflow to meet specified part/system release deadlines with minimum or no supervision
- Prepares and presents concepts and design alternatives according to project requirements
- Works in a simultaneous engineering environment in collaboration with other related design engineers
- Takes part in design reviews and technical discussions
- Communicates with suppliers for manufacturability, feasibility and cost optimization
- Supports internal Research & Development projects
- Contributes to DVP / Quality / DFMEA processes
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in design of automotive E/E systems
- Minimum 1 year experience with 3D Modeling and Technical Drawing tools
- Experience with DS CATIA V5 Design and Electrical Modules
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (and preferably German)
- Experience with PLM systems such as Team Center, Windchill or Enovia is a plus
- Good communication, presentation, and planning skills
- Willingness to travel abroad
Thorough knowledge about at least two of the following:
- Electrical wiring harness design
- HV components
- LV components
- 3D Part Design
