Electrical Systems Design Engineer

 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for physical design of LV and/or HV electrical systems
• Prepares geometric 2D/3D models of wiring harness in line with design requirements
• Aligns with other engineering disciplines (simulation, test and manufacturing)
• Plans and formulates his/her own workflow to meet specified part/system release   deadlines with minimum or no supervision
• Prepares and presents concepts and design alternatives according to project requirements
• Works in a simultaneous engineering environment in collaboration with other related design engineers
• Takes part in design reviews and technical discussions
• Communicates with suppliers for manufacturability, feasibility and cost optimization
• Supports internal Research & Development projects
• Contributes to DVP / Quality / DFMEA processes
   

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in design of automotive E/E systems
• Minimum 1 year experience with 3D Modeling and Technical Drawing tools
• Experience with DS CATIA V5 Design and Electrical Modules
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (and preferably German) 
• Experience with PLM systems such as Team Center, Windchill or Enovia is a plus
• Good communication, presentation, and planning skills
• Willingness to travel abroad

Thorough knowledge about at least two of the following: 

• Electrical wiring harness design
• HV components
• LV components
• 3D Part Design
