Automotive Control Systems Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Automotive Control Systems Engineers develop state of the art algorithms and functions for upcoming vehicles with electrified powertrains, automatic transmissions, driver assistance and autonomous driving features as well as engineering software and tools to support efficient development of such software and features.
Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Requirements engineering/management at system and/or component level
- Model-based algorithm/SW development in MATLAB/Simulink environment
- Hand-coded algorithm/SW development whenever/wherever necessary (e.g., in C/C++)
- Test case development and systematic Model-in-the-loop and Hardware-in-the-loop testing at system and/or component level
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control Engineering, and preferably Master’s and/or PhD qualifications
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive controls
- Fast learner, treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop
- Good communication, presentation and planning skills
- Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
And a good understanding of at least two of the following topics:
- System Dynamics & Modelling, Controller and Estimation Algorithm Design and Implementation
- MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE/ETAS Tools, HIL Simulators
- Real-Time Systems Hardware and Software Design
- Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Autonomous Driving
- Hybrid & Electric Vehicles,
- Automotive Powertrains (Engine, Transmissions, Batteries, Electric Machines and Power Electronics)
