Calibration Engineer

AVL South America is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of propulsion systems (hybrids, combustion engines, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines and their integration into the vehicle.

We are looking for an  Calibration Engineer to join our powertrain engineering team and contribute to the development of efficient, sustainable and innovative solutions.

• Calibrate and optimize engine control systems (injection, ignition, torque, emissions, cold start, etc.)
  Perform dynamometer and vehicle tests, analyzing and interpreting data
  Adjust calibration maps using tools such as ETAS INCA, CANape, MDA, among others
  Work with software, hardware, validation and certification teams
  Support homologation processes and compliance with standards (e.g. Proconve L8, Euro 6)

   

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Electrical, Mechatronics or related areas with active CREA
Experience with calibration of Otto cycle, Diesel or hybrid engines
Mastery of tools such as INCA, MDA, CANalyzer, Matlab/Simulink
Knowledge of emissions standards and vehicle protocols (CAN, LIN)
Advanced technical English (minimum)

Differentials

Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles
Postgraduate degree in Powertrain, Embedded Systems or similar
Experience with OBD, AUTOSAR, and vehicle control strategies
Participation in certification projects (Brazil or abroad)
