We offer the following research topic
Thesis -Vehicle Low Voltage Electrical System Analysis
Master Thesis
Electrical digital twin of low voltage electrical systems to optimize the operating strategies and LV battery size.
To decrease the time to market of products, systems or vehicles, it is necessary to reduce the development effort. For this reduction, some parts of the development will be done completely virtual with a digital twin. One part of this virtual development is the simulation of the electrical system and it’s behaviour.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigation and modelling of low voltage components in vehicle.
- Investigation of different operating strategies/ use cases.
- Model setup of low voltage system with all relevant components.
- Running the simulation with different parameters and use cases.
- Documentation and interpretation of the results of the different simulation runs.
- Compare the simulation results with available measurements of the existing system.
- All findings will be documented into a workflow and processes.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Ongoing studies in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar
- Basic knowledge of simulation and circuit simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Dymola, LTspice)
- Knowledge in electro-technics and electronic circuits
- Team spirit and strong problem-solving skills
- Demanding tasks and opportunity to working independently
- Goal-oriented working style
- Good language skills in English necessary and in German beneficial
WE OFFER:
- You can write your thesis independently and receive professional guidance and support from our experienced employees.
- You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts in the company and benefit from their expertise.
- Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of AVL and embed your theoretical knowledge in a practical environment.
The successful completion of the thesis is remunerated with a one-time fee of EUR €3,500.00 before tax.
