We offer the following research topic
Thesis - Additive Manufacturing of instrumentation & test systems for fuel cell vehicles
Master Thesis
Additive Manufacturing technology has significant potential to improve the performance of existing automotive test and measurement solutions (such as fuel cell, battery, exhaust, and fuel consumption measurement technology) and enables future innovative systems through novel geometries and advanced combinations of materials.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of innovative concepts by combining manufacturing and measurement technologies e.g. embedding fiber optic sensor technology in additively manufactured components
- Multi-physical simulation / analytical calculation of the design
- Realization and construction of demonstrators (prototypes)
- Testing of components / systems in the laboratory in Graz
- Evaluation of laboratory and simulation results in the field
YOUR PROFILE:
- Ongoing studies in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Production Engineering or similar
- Basic knowledge of sensor technologies and additive manufacturing
- Mastery of at least one 3D CAD software
- Basic knowledge of electrical drive systems and CFD advantageous
- Structured and independent way of working with willingness to learn
- Good knowledge of German and English
- For laboratory activities: Presence in Graz required
WE OFFER:
- You can write your thesis independently and receive professional guidance and support from our experienced employees.
- You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts in the company and benefit from their expertise.
