System Development Engineer Braking Systems (f/m/d)
As the automotive industry transitions towards the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV), the demands on vehicle system development continue to grow. Braking systems are evolving into highly complex mechatronic systems that seamlessly integrate mechanical, electrical and software components.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a System Development Engineer Braking Systems who will take ownership of system-level development activities in challenging projects for leading automotive OEMs.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and maintain the system architecture of braking systems, including electrical/electronic, mechanical and software components
- Develop and align system concepts and interfaces
- Define, manage and trace system requirements throughout the entire development lifecycle
- Coordinate subsystem development, suppliers and internal engineering teams
- Ensure seamless integration of braking systems into the overall vehicle architecture
- Plan and execute verification and validation activities
- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards, industry regulations and customer requirements
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed education (university, technical college or equivalent) in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or electrical engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in system-level development of braking systems
- Strong understanding of mechatronic systems and vehicle dynamics
- Experience in technical coordination, project leadership or systems engineering and architecture development
- Good knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262 and the V-Model development process
- Structured and analytical approach to solving complex engineering challenges, combined with a strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
- Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantage

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €60,970.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
