Senior Development Engineer Transmission (System & Simulation) f/m/d

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordination, technical guidance and release of system, concept & function definitions for transmissions, electrified transmissions and electrified propulsion systems (E-Axle / electric drive units EDU)
• Coordination and support in definition and evaluation activities for requirements to above systems, following automotive and AVL standards (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE) KGAS
• Guidance of development teams in above technical areas
• Review and release of test cases and validation approaches, alignment with other AVL teams
• Support in simulation activities in the product area by giving technical expert input to simulation teams
• Organization and usage of simulations as confirmation of technical approaches
• Close cooperation with other product related skill teams in AVL, such as simulation and calculation teams, software development, powertrain system and design teams
• Support cross-divisional development teams
• Support sales activities together with other skill teams and affiliates

YOUR PROFILE:

• University/University of applied science graduate in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering or similar 
• At least 5 years of working experience in respective area
• Deep knowledge of transmission, E-Axle/EDU and powertrain (in terms of mechanics and electrical hardware, physical background and controls functionalities)
• Knowledge of simulation methods
• Good knowledge in controls engineering and model-based development with Matlab/Simulink
• Readiness to work your way into various tasks based on development requirements
• Structured and organized working style
• High sense of responsibility, goal-orientation and teamwork skills
• open for direct customer contact
• Good communication skills, fluent English and willingness to learn German

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €58,000.00. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
