Project Manager for research projects in the field of fuel cell and energy f/m/d
As a project manager, you are the driving force behind our research projects in the field of fuel cell and energy, which are shaping the mobility of tomorrow. With your extensive experience and expertise, you will coordinate a highly motivated project team in this key role and work with external partners to successfully complete research projects for AVL as well as our external research partners and funding bodies (national and EU level).
With your passion for technology, for international research cooperation and your visionary thinking, you will play a key role in advancing research and development in your field.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project management of assigned (sub-)research projects in the field of fuel cell and energy
- Leading the coordination of the content of research project acquisition in the thematic area in accordance with the AVL research strategy, including coordination with relevant internal and external partners and support/tracking of the corresponding application for the funding project
- Coordinating the technical team and collaborating with external partners to ensure that the AVL project goals are met and that our research partners at the national Austrian and EU level are satisfied
- Involving senior engineers and technical experts and supporting active collaboration between AVL's specialist teams and our research partners
- Ensuring resource availability with line managers
- Project reporting (budget, progress, priority issues, resources, coordination, etc.) both internally at AVL and to research consortia
- Responsibility for overall budget control in the subject area
- Coordination of funding project reporting with internal and external partners, including the provision of evidence of AVL's contribution to the funding project
- Responsibility for requesting and following escalation procedures
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed education (Technical University of University of Applied Sciences) with a focus on electrical engineering, automotive engineering, electrics/electronics, electrochemistry, (renewable) energy systems or comparable
- Ideally around 8 years of relevant professional experience in fuel cell technology and/or energy technology with corresponding comprehensive technical expertise
- Initial experience in international research coordination (including funding project applications, consortium coordination) required
- Experience in project management is an advantage
- Good presentation, communication and intercultural skills
- High level of goal orientation and self-organization
- Sense of responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking
- Fluent knowledge of German and English is required
- Willingness to travel on business, approx. 4-8 business trips per month (Europe-wide)

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €61,700.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
