Lead Engineer Battery Design Module & Thermal f/m/d





  • Technical management and coordination of the members of the Battery Design lead team under the line management of the Battery Design skill team (Tools,  Methodology & Project Supervision)
  • In charge of the geometric integration of Thermal components as cooling plates, piping, heat exchanger, Venting Systems and Battery Modules, supported by the Simulation skill team
  • Responsible for the design and development of these parts under constrains of manufacturability, assembly, and costs in close cooperation with E/E, simulation and production engineering skill teams
  • Ensuring the SE teamwork and technical supplier interaction for these parts
  • Contribution to preparing technical component specifications and drawings for these battery components 
  • Technical support in the acquisition of HV battery projects and presentation of the contents, deliverables and efforts of the lead team
  • Responsible for the technical achievement of objectives (function, dates & deadlines, costs, quality) defined for the assigned component scope 
  • Developing technical solutions in customer projects and bringing about/implementing decisions
  • Ensuring compliance with the specifications of the battery development process and supporting its continuous improvement
  • Development and alignment of design guidelines and instructions for the area of responsibility
  • Resource planning for the lead team




  • Electrical engineering/mechanical engineering/automation engineering graduate of a secondary technical college/university of applied sciences/university of technology
  • 5+ years of experience in Thermal design and integration of thermal or electrical components and plastic parts (battery, transmission or powertrain) in the automotive sector
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint) experience
  • Sound CATIA V5/NX and/or PRO-E knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of standards in the field of development
  • Teamwork skills and pronounced leadership skills in complex project organizations
  • Communicative and solution-oriented personality
  • Self-directed approach to work
  • Flexibility, commitment, and readiness to contribute to a dynamic team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Very good spoken and written command of English

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €60.000,00. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
