Development Engineer Software for HW/SW Interaction & Evaluation f/m/d

Do you have a deep understanding of how software and hardware interact, think systematically, and want to contribute to forward-looking solutions that are used worldwide? For the further development of our software solutions, we are looking for a development engineer with technical vision, a passion for complex systems, and the desire to help shape quality in a sustainable way.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Selecting and evaluating suitable hardware platforms for AVL software products
• Assessing the impact of MS Windows upgrades on AVL software solutions
• Developing robust concepts to minimize potential upgrade impacts
• Analyzing and integrating I/O cards, monitors, and external components
• Creating, maintaining, and testing workstation images, including silent installation processes
• Analysis of customer-specific IT requirements
• Technical interface to hardware suppliers, sales, and project management

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed education (University or Technical College, Technical University, or equivalent) with a focus on telematics, computer science, software design, or a related field
• At least 3 years of professional experience and extensive knowledge in the field of information technology
• Practical knowledge of Intel workstation hardware
• Knowledge of automated installation of MS Windows and development technologies C# and .Net
• Expertise in the interaction between computer hardware, drivers, and real-time operating systems
• Business fluent knowledge in German and English

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €52,300.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
