Data Engineer f/m/d

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writing Data Analytics in python by using a powerful and cloud-native Data Analytics Platform 
• Close cooperation with  domain experts for deriving the best and most efficient analytics methods for domain specific analytics tasks
• Development of applications as standard products with clear focus on standardization and maintainability
• Responsibility for technical, methodological, and quality aspects of the developed applications
• Support CI/CD process for all development artifacts
• Get a deep understanding of the underlying Data Processing Platform in order to use it to its full potential

YOUR PROFILE:

• Engineering education (BSc, MSc, MEng or PhD) in Computer Science, Informatics/Telematics, Mathematics/Statistics or comparable engineering degree 
• Experience as Data Engineering/Software Development in python, ideally more than 3 years
• Strong proficiency in Python and the connected PyData stack (Pandas/Numpy and connected packages) 
• Experience with AI and machine learning
• Experience in scalable processing environments like Dask (or Spark) and in processing of time-series data
• Basic Know-how in database technologies (SQL/OLAP and Non-SQL)
• Interest in Big Data storage technologies (e.g. Elastic, ClickHouse) and interest in Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), preferably with basic experience
• Preferably Experience in containerization and orchestration of containerized services (Kubernetes)
• Preferably experience in Linux and scripting languages (Bash Scripts)
• Preferably working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication and components
• Preferably experience in additional programming languages (e.g. C#/C++/Java, R, Scala, MATLAB)
• Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €55,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
