Controls Intern

AVL Powertrain UK Ltd is currently seeking a Controls Intern based at our Engineering Centre in Coventry. 

The duration of this Internship is between 6 to 12 months and is ideal for Student's who are focusing on their thesis whilst completing their Internship. There may also be an opportunity for permanent Graduate employment once the Student has successfully completed their studies and/or Internship. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    General assistance with software and control engineering tasks
•    Interaction within the local teams

YOUR PROFILE:

Essential:
•    Studying on (or graduating from) a degree course in an engineering or automotive discipline
•    Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow
•    Understanding of control theory
•    English language (spoken and written)
•    Available for at least 6 months
Preferable:
•    Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
•    Strong background in specific areas; energy management, vehicle dynamics, BMS, torque production, etc.
•    Driving license valid for driving in the UK

Annual Remuneration: Due to UKVI compliance requirements, we are obligated to state the annual gross salary (full-time) for this position. The salary for this Internship is £24,000 per annum and will be prorata if the Internship duration is less than 12 months.
