Solution Engineer

The Solution Engineer has the duty to define the proper solutions for customers, to create lean quotation that embody a package of AVL and 3rd parties product as well as necessary services, to meet the customer’s specified requirements and to ensure accurate cost calculation following setup sales strategy.

Job description:

• The Solution Engineer is responsible for creating solutions and quotations that embody a package of equipment, software and services that meet the customer's specified requirements, ensuring that the cost calculated is accurate.
• He/she is responsible for the “quotation project”, creating and managing the proposal team, keeping the proposal time line.
• He/she is the technical counterpart to the customer. By his/her broad technical knowledge (customer application knowledge and knowledge of AVL solutions) the Solution Engineer is able to support the customer in creating the RFQ and/or to challenge an already existing RFQ with the customer to adapt this RFQ and to find the right solutions for the special customer needs.
• The Solution Engineer explains and discusses the AVL solution/offer to the customer, shows him/her the AVL USPs and the added value in the solution and discusses .possible adjustments, changes and deviations also at customer locations.
• Provides market feedback for the future solution development and innovative approaches to increase the sales revenues.
• Works with the Business Development to create strategic plans and product enhancements to increase market share and maximize revenue.

Profile description:

• Master degree in engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Electrical,…)
• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in related o similar fields 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation and creativity skills
• Building Effective Relationships
• Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
• Customer orientation
• Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities
• Proficiency in Italian and English is required
• Available for business travel abroad.
