Key Account Manager

 

The Key Account Manager maximizes the order intake with attractive corporate contribution. He/she is maximizing the AVL’s market share with optimum margin in accordance with strategic direction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the business development of the Powertrain (PTE) Business Unit and for establishing, maintaining and strengthening long term business relationships with the customers of assigned accounts within the Italian market;
  • Responsible of positive and sustainable business development (Order Intake, Turn Over and Contribution Margin) for the customers under his/her responsibility;
  • Responsible of elaboration of business plans and business forecasts, considering necessary factors to ensure adequate market penetration;
  • Responsible for developing new business opportunities;
  • Responsible for leading offers’ preparation and commercial negotiations with customers;
  • Responsible of pricing strategy within given boundaries;
  • Responsible of ensuring appropriate invoice plans for appropriate cash flow;
  • Responsible of monitoring customer satisfaction, throughout the projects’ execution;
  • Maintain awareness of competitor pricing, services and products;
  • Maintain a constant awareness of the total industry activity, including customers and competitors, in order to contribute to maintaining present business levels and to developing future business;
  • Maintain awareness of main competitor’s activity, technical advantages and disadvantages, and market potential.

 

Requirements:

  • degree in Engineering (or in technical-scientific disciplines).
  • experience in the automotive sector of at least 7 years.
  • previous experience in the commercial area of ​​at least 2 years.
  • knowledge of the Italian and English languages ​​(German and/or French is considered a plus).
  • basic IT knowledge:

1.CRM type Software(Customer Relationship Management) such as e.g. Saleforce.

2.Office package (advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word).

  • familiarity with international legal issues is a plus.
  • ability to develop multi-disciplinary offers ranging in the various areas of technical development is a plus.
  • ability to work under stress and to manage multiple activities in parallel.
  • “can-do” and proactivity attitude.
  • think “out-of-the-box” and use creativity to expand business on unconventional areas.
