Maintenance & Instrumentation Engineer
At AVL Iberica, we are looking for a Maintenance & Instrumentation Engineer with solid experience in industrial and laboratory environments to lead the planning, coordination, and optimization of maintenance activities for equipment and facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and efficiency of systems, while coordinating internal and external resources, managing operational priorities, and acting as a technical reference within the organization.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, as well as calibrations and technical support for customers and users.
- Organize and prioritize maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality, operational needs, and available resources.
- Coordinate technical interventions carried out by internal personnel, suppliers, and external contractors.
- Ensure the proper calibration and operation of instrumentation systems, data acquisition systems, and testing equipment.
- Analyze complex incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Define and drive technical improvements aimed at increasing equipment availability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Supervise technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and intervention records.
- Manage technical relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring high service standards.
- Participate in modernization, automation, and continuous improvement projects for facilities and processes.
- Develop and monitor maintenance KPIs to identify optimization opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or complex technological environments.
- Proven experience coordinating maintenance activities and managing operational priorities.
- Advanced knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, automation, and measurement equipment.
- Strong ability to lead troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with suppliers and managing maintenance contracts will be considered an advantage.
- English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong organizational skills and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
- Availability for occasional business travel.
