Senior Quality Assurence Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at AVL Hungary to take charge of our global supplier network. You’ll lead audits, drive 8D problem-solving, and ensure component quality before parts ever reach the manufacturing floor.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leadership in process approvals (process acceptance) at suppliers
• Leadership in supplier development/qualification (supplier audit, improvement
• activities based on audits Quality Round Tables (QRT)
• Evaluation of key figures regarding suppliers (Quality indicators) and implementation of the results in the continuous improvement process (action plan)
• Internal and External Interface management to supplier in various cases
• Ensure continuous quality improvement of purchased components
• Ensure a feedback loop to Product engineering Departments
• Support in defining the quality requirements for products in cooperation with the development departments (Design reviews, specifications,).
• Supplier Complaints issues
• Follow up on Complaints & Complaints verification (Projects) in the case of an Escalation
• Support in the supplier sourcing decision (new suppliers and relocation process)
• Perform supplier audits
• Monitoring of audit results
• Support of Correction and Improvement Measures for Supplier 8Ds and QRTs
• Support of component approval at suppliers
• Support of component approval in manufacturing (special release)
• Support in creation and review of technical standards
• Support segment concerning PSP cases
• Support in initial customer delivery

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed technical education in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering, automotive test systems and plant engineering (Focus electrical engineering)
• Basic Quality Management knowledge or training
• At least three years of professional experience in quality assurance in the automotive branch or plant industry
• Self-initiative, good in networking and analytical thinking
• Problem solving skills
• Good communication skills and team-oriented working style
• MS Office knowledge
• SAP knowledge advantageous
• Knowledge of German (min A2 or B1) and English (min B2)
• Willingness to travel (20%)
