Expert Vehicle Systems Tractors & Mobile Machinery

Responsibilities:

- Technical sub-project management of customer projects from planning/quotation through execution to completion.
- Participation in the preparation of specifications, (target) cost estimates, target cost tracking, supplier identification/pre-selection
- Participation in the creation and design of assemblies and vehicle concepts during the concept phase
- Integration of systems and components into the complete vehicle
- Packaging/layout of single parts, assemblies up to complete vehicles with variants and options
- Creation and maintenance of product structures in the PDM system incl. project-dependent tailoring
- Execution of design reviews with regard to option/variant integration, production/logistics, assembly line, service, etc. with the respective departments involved
- Organize and supervise prototype build/test/approval reviews, supervise fixture builders and toolmakers, assist with prototype parts and series procurement
- Regular tracking of the design status in the 3D environment
- Contribute to the development of new innovative concepts and business ideas in the complete vehicle/powertrain area
- Monitoring and enforcing design guidelines, taking into account the respective customer in-house standards

Profile:

- Completed engineering studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, design engineering or comparable qualification
- Many years of experience in the vehicle sector, ideally in the field of tractor development, construction machinery development, electrification, vehicle integration of transaxles, mobile hydraulics, tank system, battery box, cooling systems, exhaust system integration, mechatronics, tractor implement (hitches, hoists, implement interfaces, front loaders)
- Experience in vehicle architecture, packaging and layouting
- Experience in working with product master structures, platform principles
- Design experience in CAD-3D (ProE/Creo, Catia V5, ...)

- Fluent in written and spoken German/English
