Experienced Yocto Linux Software Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in our instrumentation product development from ideation to deployment for emissions measurement device development
• Understanding the measurement principle and how end users will use the measurement devices based on Product requirement inputs
• Being a member of the Hungarian development team, and collaborate with the international agile project team (Scrum)
• Design, implementation and testing of embedded Linux based measurement device platform
• System configuration and integration of embedded systems
• Documentation of the system components

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering
• 3 years experience with the Yocto Project
• In-depth knowledge of C/C++ and experience in Linux-based embedded software development on modern ARM architectures (e.g. NXP i.MX8 and Xilinx UltraScale SoCs)
• Understanding of U-Boot and the Linux kernel
• Experience with CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps), containerization, and automated testing
• Fluency in written and spoken English (German is an advantage)
• Open to agile development methods, with good communication and presentation skills and a strong team-player mindset
• Willingness to travel to the Graz headquarters a few times a year
